You can make a donation to St. John’s in any of these ways:
- Cash or Check — Put your pledge number and donation designation in the memo line of your check, or or an envelope with cash.
- Bill-Pay — Schedule a recurring payment through your bank with online bill payment.
- PayPal — Donate with a credit card using PayPal. There is a cost to the church, which you can elect to cover as well as your donation.
- Zelle — Send a donation by Zelle to treasurer@stjohnschicago.com. No fee.
- Venmo — Scan the QR code below to make a payment. There may be a fee for you.
When making a donation, please use the following categories to indicate what your donation is for:
- Pledge – Payment of an annual pledge or an unrestricted donation for the general operation of the church, including staff, building, and grounds.
- Capital Campaign — A donation to the fund for capital improvements to the facility.
- Pence — “Pence Can” collection to specific community projects, as announced in the Eagle email and announcements at church.
- Benevolence – A discretionary fund used by the rector for financial assistance to parishioners and neighbors experiencing need.
- Flowers – For flowers in the sanctuary.
- Altar Guild – For candles or other liturgical needs.
- Other – something not listed here, please be specific.
If you wish to make a gift in honor or in memory of someone, own stock you wish to donate to the church, are over 70½ and have an IRA you wish to donate from, or have other ideas about ways to give, please contact our treasurer at treasurer@stjohnschicago.com.
If you have a non-monetary gift for the church, please contact the treasurer. All non-monetary gifts to St. John’s must be approved by the Vestry.
